21st Century e-Teacher is an innovative professional development opportunity that empowers teachers to engage their students in project based learning experiences that improves academic performance. Participants become deeply connected through a meaningful learning network that produces an ongoing collaborative community in the creation of lesson plans, training materials and a sustainable professional development program.
Four online/asynchronous courses offered for 3 graduate credits each (12-credit Series)
Ten week courses with rolling start dates
Course 4 capstones participants to lead future 21st Century e-Teacher sessions
Participants work through a sustainable professional learning community
Participants should be:
Comfortable using email, Internet Searching and downloading online information & images
Prepared to share an original lesson plan and use it in their classroom
Willing to dialogue and collaborate with other educators
Participants will be working within a learning management system (Moodle) to proceed through course materials (readings, videos and discussions) and for completing course assignments.
